The Lodge

Big Timber Lodge began construction in the fall of 2006 and continues to expand as time allows. The main lodge is 2400+ square feet of living space. Additionally, we have three fully-equipped guest cabins and a fish processing building where your "catch" is processed and frozen for your trip home. The entire site is constructed using our own Sitka Spruce, utilizing a Lucas 827 Sawmill.

Big Timber Lodge’s dining area and gathering room offers spectacular views of Kupreanoff Strait, Whale Island Pass, and the north-side shoreline of Kodiak Island. You are able to watch sea otters, whales, numerous bird species, and many other critters right from the comfort of the lodge. You are welcomed to explore the surrounding forest, mountains and beaches to see what other animals may be wandering about after your full day of fishing/outdoors activities. We offer satellite television, wireless internet access and telephone service for those guests who need to stay in contact with the outside world while enjoying the remote location of Big Timber Lodge.

Our guests enjoy wholesome meals designed and highlighted around our “Ocean Bounties”. With the modern day conveniences at Big Timber, you will simply be able to sit back after a full day of activity and enjoy the natural beauty that this “remote destination” has to offer.
